Participate in Arisia

Arisia is an all-volunteer organization. Everyone who participates in Arisia does it because we love the genres, communities, people, and activities that make the convention what it is. Every year we welcome new volunteers, new staff, new panelists, and many more. Here are some of the ways you can participate in making Arisia even better.

Running the Convention

Volunteer

Volunteers work at jobs large and small, before, during, and after the convention. We have volunteer jobs that take various amounts of time in every division of the convention.

The quickest way to volunteer before con is to fill out our Volunteer Signup form. At the convention volunteers can go to Team Arisia HQ, where there is often a "help wanted" board posted outside, and talk to the person at the desk.

Staff

Staff fill designated positions, usually known and arranged before the convention. Our list of currently sought staff positions is on this site.

If you don't see a staff job that seems right for you, check out the Arisia Staff wiki Organization Chart to get an idea of which positions are filled and which need staff.

Be Part of Programming

Arisia's program participants are one of the conventions main attractions. Program participants share their knowledge and experience on a wide variety of topics in formats that range from traditional panels, to presentations, workshops, and many hands-on events. If you'd like to be part of programming, we have an extensive program participation process that includes a FAQ and information for professionals.

Run a Game

Arisia welcomes volunteer GMs for a wide variety of games, including tabletop and LARP. For information and links to sign-up forms, check out the gaming page.

Bring and Sell Your Creations

Art Show

Artists, including students, amateurs, semi-pros, and professionals show and sell their artwork at Arisia. We curate a show that includes traditional media such as drawings and paintings, digital media, and a variety of 3-D and tactile media such as costume pieces, jewelry, carvings, and sculpture. The Art Show is currently taking waiting list applications

Arisia's marketplace features commercial dealers, in a Dealer's Room that includes things such as books, games, accessories, artwork, clothing, collectibles, and more exotic items.

In addition, Arisia offers a Creator's Corner for makers, authors, artists, and craftspeople who want to sell things directly, at a smaller scale.
